Peet's or Koots

Image
To have Peet's or Koots? That is a question. We always enjoy Koots. I did not realize that green tea and milk go well together. But my favorite is hojicha latte. It can be hot and cold and eather way, it tastes excellent. This cute apron is available at Koots shop in Bellevue. On the other hand, Peet's provides deep and strong taste coffee. Ronnie says Peets is his favorite coffee shop. My favorite drink is matcha green tea freddo. I wish they had the same drink as hot. Having Peet's is some sort of special because there are not too many shops, even though Peet's is a chain company.

Weight Lifter Ronnie

Ronnie participated the Olympics Weight Lifting Competition held in January 12th, 2008. I have no idea how the lifters can pick up so much heavy weight, but I enjoyed videotaping and hearing a groan while they were lifting.

5 Spot won 5 Stars

I ordered r oadside cafe soup and a sandwich,  and Ronnie ordered s moked salmon salad from their lunch menu. It was delicious and just right amount. I liked the interior of the restaurant, too. Here is the link to their website. 5 Spot/Chow Foods

Bento for Lunch

Image
"What is inside of Today's  bento ? -It is  tamagoyaki . Bento  is what we call for lunch box in Japan. A plain omelet is called tamagoyaki  in Japanese because tamago  means egg and  yaki  means frying . We use this special small pan to make an egg in a beautiful rectangle shape. I wrap the bento box in the cloth every morning and it is ready to be eaten.  How did you like it, Ronnie- kun ?

Driving She-chan

Image
It was a big decision and I fought with a lot of pressure when I purchased this Toyota Sienna. But I am pretty content with the car. I think I made a sensible purchase. I named it "She-chan" after Shizuko-san of JPSA whom I respect. Shizuko-san is one of the sweetest and the most impressive people whom I have ever met. I hope our She-chan would be as wonderful as Shizuko-san is.

Blossoms have Blossomed

Image
We went to the University of Washington to see cherry blossoms last Sunday. It was a little cold and rainy, but the cherry blossom trees have been fully blossomed. There were a quite of people taking photos. I have more photos on Flickr .

Snow in March

Image
---Singing in the snow--- ---La la---La la la la--- We had snow today. Sometimes it was a pretty big flake like cotton candy or white feather. How romantic! But I am worried about cherry blossom. It must feel cold.

Gap Dress

Image
I fell in love with those lovely Gap  Kids dresses. Even though I would be over the age limit of the dress, I don't care! It is so cute!!! My friend Ayako told me that I have only one body, which is very true, yet I cannot help buying new clothes. Here is my lucky problem. Fortunately or unfortunately, because of my size, I could wear XL for girls, XS for women, and even large size for boys since I am a girl. I keep on looking for cute clothes ;)

Monroe

Image
One thing I like to do is naming my favorite stuff. We bought this bed frame at IKEA . It was a hard one to assemble, but we did it by working together. We are proud of ourselves!  I named the bed frame "Monroe" because it looks a bit like a gate. We call "mon" for gate in Japanese and Monroe sounds Japanese first name like Ichiro. Savvy?

Movie Night

Image
"What are we going to do this  weekend?" -Nothing particular. "Why don't we stay at home  watching movies?" -Sounds good. We rented several DVDs and started from "Pirates of the Caribbean." We were supposed to watch the latest series of the movie, but rented the first one mistakenly even though both of us have already watched the first one. But actually, we liked the original movie better than the second one, which happens to most series of movies. The Blu-ray disc was so clear that it rather looked unreal. Anyway, I like Jack Sparrow's wavy movement.

I am Back!

It has been more than one year posting the second comment since I started. I try to post a short column more often. I want to write about my favorite things and the event what happened to my daily life. So...see you soon!
