Welcome to Hirochan's World

On a sunny Sunday afternoon, we drove to Enumclaw, WA. Walked around downtown and bought treats at a local pie shop. Drove through the fairground. Hiked at Pinnacle Peak Park. It was a refreshing break.

Ronnie and I drew a birthday card for his mom. A special strawberry cake for her 🍰

Issaquah Bento and Chicken Karaage Bento from Bento-ya Goemon. Cheesecake and Panna Cotta were from Pastry Mitten.

Photos from our annual visit to Mt. Rainier. Hiking around Frozen Lake, Shadow Lake, and Sourdough Ridge. Spotted doe and chipmunks. There were a lot of wild flowers, winds from valleys, and dynamic nature views. I am so small compared to the mountain.

We got carried away with Tres sandwiches again. There were too many goodies to chose from. Their bread is the best in  town. We had a picnic lunch at Bellevue Downtown Park in the sunshine ☀️

Vietnamese food truck came to our neighborhood. Unfortunately, Banh Mi was sold out. We got a pork rice bowl and crispy egg rolls instead. A generous amount of food was packed into a small to-go box. Little neighborhood Saigon successfully filled our stomachs.

Perfect weather for a patio lunch at Duke’s Seafood in Bellevue. Wild rock fish tacos, basil pesto salmon, and clam chowder were served with a lot of sunshine.

Plain old-fashioned is my favorite style of doughnut. I like the crunchy part on the top. It is neat that Top Pot is a palindrome.

Tofu pouches filled with vinegar rice. We call it Inarizushi in Japan. This is allegedly a favorite food of a fox in Shinto. I do not blame Mr. Fox.

On the way home from the blueberry farm, we spotted a herd of elk. A few of them had antlers. So wild.
